Eligibility and fees

Eligibility

The summer school is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs and experienced researchers, with previous training in quantitative sciences and with a keen interest in environmental issues and modeling: Master students, PhD students, postdocs and established researchers.

The summer school is limited to 25 participants.

Prerequisites

Course language is English, so adequate skills are required.

This summer school does not aim at teaching basic modelling techniques, hence some experience with modelling and numerical tools is required to successfully participate to the summer school. We require a basic understanding of ODE modelling and some experience with analysis with tools such as Matlab or python.

Fees

Registration fee is €100 for Master students, €200 for PhD students, €300 for postdocs and €400 for researchers. PSL members (students, postdocs and researchers) benefit from a reduced registration fee (-50%). Registration fee includes all local costs (lectures, meals, refreshments, evening activities) except accommodation. The additional fee for accommodation in student rooms with shared bathrooms is €200.

Travel costs must be covered by the participants.

Grants

A limited number of support grants to waive part or all of the fees are available for participants, and grant allocation will be discussed on an individual basis. Grants are intended to enhance participation by candidates from developing countries.

Required equipment

All participants are asked to bring their laptop.

All participants are asked to present a poster on their own research, that can be sent to the CERES in advance.
